Furthermore, Mintel statistics reveal that many Brits were pleasantly surprised as to how enjoyable it can be preparing for a big night in. In fact, more than four in ten respondents revealed that in 2022 they would like to improve their cooking skills. For consumers that love a freshly homemade salad, vinegar is a great affordable yet effective way to achieve high-end dining at home, with studies also revealing the benefits of vinegar consumption on overall health. ShelfNow reports that Acetaia Sereni’s Agrodolce Bianco (white) Balsamic Vinegar is the most popular condiment on its platform. Awarded ‘Best Italian Product of 2019’, the vinegar has a fruity aromatic flavour which makes it ideal for everyday use, in everything from salads to marinades. The vinegar also offers health benefits due to it being infused with rosemary, which supports digestion and acts as an antiseptic and stimulant.

Ready-made cooking sauces

Another simple way to achieve lavish dining on a budget whilst at home is with ready-made cooking sauces, of which ShelfNow has seen a spike in sales of 30%. Pico Sauces are artisan producers of alternative, modern and experimental cooking sauces and condiments which offer a spin on traditional Indian cuisine.
