Palletower, the UK’s premier manufacturer, stockist and supplier of storage and logistics equipment has partnered with Horen Group, China’s leading moulder of returnable packaging, to become the biggest seller of UK moulded collapsible plastic box pallets.
Exclusively available from Palletower, the market leading and best value plastic box pallet is now available for immediate dispatch in large quantities. The collapsible plastic boxes are available in a range of colours and can be purchased as a custom mould or from stock, making it very versatile and convenient for customers across every industry.
Horen Group have partnered with IPL Global to manufacture the plastic box pallets. This manufacturing process maximises operational efficiencies, significantly improving product and material handling and providing increased cost savings to Palletower’s customers in the long run.
The strong plastic sides protect products, and the space saving collapsibility is ideal for return logistics. The container offers 840 litres of internal bulk storage with easy access and can be operated by one single person. Additionally, the space saving pallet folds to a height of only 325mm, with the second stacked on top, only 290mm in height, proving an excellent return ratio of 3.5:1, which will lead to a cost savings on return transport costs.

The plastic box pallets, moulded in HDPE (high density polyethylene), make them durable and readily recyclable at the end of their lifecycle. The box can be collected and ground up to produce new, sustainable plastic box pallets, promoting circularity and environmental savings.

Matthew is also acutely aware of the positive environmental impact this will have due to cutting transport costs at both ends of the supply chain. Customers in the UK are getting the products sent to them from within the UK rather than overseas, as well as cutting their return transport costs. When collapsed, they can be stacked 8 high per space, with 208 fitting in a full articulated truck, offering 4 times return capacity.
Palletower has also seen incredible growth over the past two years. Matthew said, “Our turnover will grow from £20m in 2020 to £34m by the end of 2022. We always have over £10M of products in stock across our warehouses, which has allowed us to fulfil all orders throughout the covid pandemic. Three years ago we established Palletower Finland to supply the Finnish and Baltic markets, alongside this we already export to 30 countries worldwide and are now looking to expand our global reach even further into Eastern and Southeast Europe, including the Czech Republic and Croatia.”
