Global strategy expert and former Bill Gates adviser joins HiveMind

UK-based business, technology and design consultancy HiveMind has recruited a leading global strategic expert to support its ambitious growth plans. Dan Rasmus, a former Director of Business Insights at Microsoft who worked closely with its CEO Bill Gates, joins as HiveMind’s new Director of Insight and Advisory 

Rasmus is a global leader in the field of strategic story-telling developing scenarios to analyse economic, technological and geo-political trends to help organisations adapt to future challenges. He has authored several non-fiction books including Listening to the Future, which chronicles insights from his time at Microsoft.

Over his career Rasmus has held a number of internationally-focused leadership roles including Chief Marketing Officer at GlobalEnglish, Vice President and Research Director at Forrester Research, and Chief Knowledge Officer of the Giga Information Group. His insights into the future of work have been widely published appearing in the likes of African Business Review, Fast Company, GeekWire, and the Harvard Business Review blog.

Rasmus, who also serves as part-time Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington, has a long association with HiveMind. He was recruited as its first consultant in 2014 and worked with a diverse range of the company’s clients.
