International bike rental software company bike.rent Manager continues to expand with seven new appointments

bike.rent Manager (BRM) has strengthened its engineering team with seven new appointments including Head of Engineering Riley Ramone.

Ramone brings more than 15 years of engineering experience to BRM, having previously delivered software at Friends Reunited, Mecca Bingo, and agency-side for brands such as HSBC, Nando’s and The London Eye.

In his new role as Head of Engineering, he will oversee the department to ensure they continue to build great software for the cycling community.

He said: “I joined BRM because I wanted to be part of a growing and ambitious company. With my role, I am thrilled to be heading up the development team, have the opportunity to take the engineering department to the next level and have such a pivotal role in BRM’s future.”

Chris Jackson has also joined the engineering team at BRM, with 8 years of experience in engineering, previously working for Fujitsu and Ford.

Chris said: “I knew BRM was the right fit for me when I spoke to our founder, Doug Stoddart. We share the same aspiration for the engineering department, where we are looking to expand our existing software. I look forward to working with the rest of the engineering department to help take our offering to the next level.”

bike.rent Manager is a one-stop shop to manage the entire rental operation for businesses, founded by Doug Stoddart in 2010. Also joining the business are five additional members, including Alex Adderley as a Business Analyst and Emily Campbell as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Founder, Doug Stoddart said: “We are thrilled to see the business continue to grow quickly as we expand our offering. We are currently working with over 700 rental stores worldwide and our new additions means the bike rental experience will be seamless for consumers.

“With these new hires, we aim to hit our goal of adding thousands of stores to our platform. We will be adding powerful new functionality to our platform to benefit both cyclists and rental stores alike.”
