Masters in Financial Management – What is Your Passion and What Interests You?

The Masters in Financial Management (MFM) program is an executive training program at colleges or other post-secondary institutions preparing students for careers in financial management. The Master’s degree is generally named Master of Business Administration or MBA, or Master of Science in Financial Management. In North America and in some countries in Europe, the program can be considered as an advanced professional degree, particularly those that focus on accounting, investment banking and business administration. However, some of these degrees will not qualify students for federal financial aid in order to pursue their careers in financial management.

A Master of Finance in Financial Management is one of four Masters of Business Administration programs. The other programs include the Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), the Master’s in Accounting, the Master’s in Business Administration, and the Master’s in Business Administration.

The MBA is designed for students who have an earned bachelor’s degree in business administration, are already working in their respective fields, and wish to continue their education beyond the bachelor’s degree. The Master’s of Business Administration is usually designed with students taking courses in general business, finance, and accounting. It also requires students to choose one of four specific areas: business law, international business, marketing management, and entrepreneurship.

Students who are looking to improve their employability after graduation with their Masters in Business Administration (MBA) can pursue a Master’s in Business Administration, Financial Planning or Business Analytics. Students who are already working with the finance department in an organization or are looking to begin their own company can pursue a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program focusing on financial management or finance. Students in the finance field can also complete a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and then continue on to the Master’s of Business Administration degree program.
