RSM expands Latin America operations with two new member firms

RSM, the leading network of audit, tax and consulting advisers focused on the middle market has announced strategic growth in Latin America with the addition of RSM Chile and RSM Paraguay.

Formerly known as AUREN Auditores y Consultores, RSM Chile is a firm of professionals with specialists in audit and assurance, tax and legal, advisory and business process outsourcing (BPO), with headquarters in Santiago. The Firm has strategic plans to launch regional offices across four major Chilean cities – Antofagasta, Concepción, Puerto Montt, and Viña del Mar.

RSM has also bolstered its presence in Latin America with the creation of RSM Paraguay which, in response to growing client demand, has been established in Asuncion through a collaboration between RSM Argentina and RSM Uruguay.

The Latin American economy has experienced considerable growth in recent years, with significant developments in sectors such as construction and real estate, telecommunications, agriculture, industrial market and investment holdings – making the region an attractive investment prospect for many overseas investors.

News of these new firm appointments comes as RSM also welcomes new Regional Leader for Latin America, Eileen Turkot. Having worked at RSM US for almost 10 years, and most recently as their Global Strategy Director, Eileen has a wealth of international expertise and has worked extensively with RSM members throughout Latin America.

Regional Leader for Latin America, Eileen Turkot continued:

“Despite the unprecedented challenges the pandemic has created, Latin American businesses continue to find new ways to adapt, opportunity-driven in their approach. In addition to an increase in investment opportunities into the region, we have seen a high demand from companies looking to better manage their existing operations due to a rapidly evolving tax environment and individual country responses to Covid.

“The pandemic has also seen an acceleration in the shift towards e-commerce business models, bringing opportunities for RSM to help companies through that transition.”

CEO of RSM International, Jean Stephens concluded:

“Middle market businesses in Latin America face one of the greatest supply chain upheavals in living memory. The need to rapidly digitise business models while navigating shifting international tax and trade treaties has made specialist counsel more important than ever. With that in mind, it is a pleasure to welcome both RSM Chile and RSM Paraguay to the RSM family. I believe that Latin America will play a key role in the economic recovery to come, and under Eileen’s leadership, I have every confidence that RSM will continue to meet its plans for growth across the region.”
