London, 26 January 2021: Stint, the student work app, has welcomed a string of senior hires to the business with a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO) joining the team. This news follows the appointment of Harry Lang as Stint’s first Chief Marketing Officer earlier this month.
Jason Atlas has joined Stint as Chief Technology Officer, leading the engineering, platform and data teams. As part of this, Jason will ensure that Stint’s innovative in-house technology continues to evolve to support the business’ growth plans.
With a strong track record of growing and leading world class software development teams, Jason began his career at Microsoft as a Program Manager, subsequently leading the Data Intelligence team working on the Abuse and Safety Platform. After leaving Microsoft, Jason spent over 17 years in CTO roles, most recently with Adarga – one of the UK’s largest AI software developers – spearheading the engineering and data science teams to create a new data intelligence platform. Atlas has been a valued advisor to the business for the last 18 months, so takes on the CTO position with a strong understanding of the business.
Mark Harris has also joined Stint as the business’s first Chief Product Officer where he will be responsible for strategic product direction and team leadership across product management, UX design and research. He was previously Senior Product Director at Checkout.com, where he was responsible for all onboarding, underwriting and administration products. Prior to this, he spent two years as CPO at Patient and six years at Worldpay, the global payments provider heading up the Mobile and then SME product teams. Mark will ensure that Stint continues to deliver industry-innovating products to its partner businesses and students.
Stint has now worked with over 1,400 hospitality businesses including leading high street brands such as Chipotle and Chilango and high-end clubs and restaurants like Annabels and The Wolseley. As of this month, the company has over 115,000 students signed up to the platform and operates in 32 towns and cities across the UK.

Stint connects hospitality operators with their pool of students, who want short, flexible shifts, to help with the busy periods each day. The students do basic but vital tasks, taking pressure off core teams and ensuring that businesses have the right number of staff every hour of the day.
Sam Schlagman, Co-Founder at Stint, commented: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Jason and Mark to Stint. The experience, knowledge and guidance that these two bring to the table will be transformative for Stint as we press on with big plans for 2022.”
Jason Atlas, Chief Technology Officer at Stint, added: “Having advised Stint over the last 18 months, I have seen first-hand how the business is revolutionising hospitality. Now on board as CTO, I look forward to helping Stint achieve its ambitious growth plans.’
Mark Harris, Chief Product Officer at Stint, commented: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Stint at this pivotal point in the business’s growth. It didn’t take me long to see that the team has built an impressive product that is already helping to solve a very real and present challenge for both students and businesses but also has masses of potential to grow. I can’t wait to get started to help take the product and company to the next level.”
