London Monday 14th March 2022FDM Group, a professional services provider with a focus on technology, today announces that it has formally joined the coalition of businesses working with the UK government to offer 10,000 jobs for Ukrainian refugees.

A coalition of 40 businesses being led by entrepreneur Emma Sinclair has told the government it has 10,000 jobs available for Ukrainian refugees.

The group, which includes M&S in addition to recruitment companies Robert Walters and FDM, is putting pressure on the government over its response to displaced Ukrainians.

Rod Flavell, CEO, FDM Group comments: “We are very excited to be joining forces with the government and other businesses to offer job opportunities to Ukrainian refugees. Last year FDM recruited over 2,500 new joiners into our permanent workforce. We are looking to hire in excess of that number in 2022 so we are open minded as to numbers.”

A government spokesperson said: “The UK government has handed out just 1,305 visas to Ukrainians since the Russian invasion began, restricting entry to individuals with family members who already have settled status in Britain.

“We are standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainians which is why we’ve made it easier for those with valid Ukrainian passports to come here. This is alongside changes to visas to ensure Ukrainians in the UK can stay here.”
