Mystic Opulence Autumn collection sees an uplift of 360% from 2020

100% growth in head count

Modern loungewear brand, Chelsea Peers, has reported a 236% increase in e-commerce sales YOY, marking a period of rapid growth for the business.

2021 sales have tracked consistently ahead of the previous year across all Chelsea Peers ranges, including the Mystic Opulence Autumn collection which has seen an uplift of 360% up from 2020. This growth has been driven by the increased demand for premium loungewear and sleepwear associated with the rise of homeworking imposed by Covid-19.

As a business, the Chelsea Peers headcount has grown by 100% with key hires in both the customer service and digital teams to prioritise customer experience. Further growth is expected in 2022, with expansion plans in place and an international presence for this design-led loungewear brand looking likely.

Loungewear has become a focal point of modern fashion and Chelsea Peers aims to meet every customer need with its all-inclusive collection, from curve and maternity to menswear. Each of these ranges supports consumers’ versatile lifestyles and busy schedules without compromising on quality. Supporting a sustainable fashion industry is also at the heart of every collection. With the introduction of organic cotton and recycled yarns and packaging, as well as a partnership with One Tree Planted, which plants a tree for every purchase.

Tom Pyne, Director of Chelsea Peers comments: “People have rediscovered the joy of staying at home, but comfort isn’t the only thing they look for in loungewear; they want style.  Loungewear is no longer reserved for sleeping, but is worn for many occasions, from work to evenings out.  This trend has had a huge impact on our sales, and we expect it to continue into next year. Our new collections have been designed with this consumer demand in mind, to provide modern loungewear for all occasions.”
